Safe Sitter

Safe Sitter training increases the number of adolescents in a community who are trained to provide safe and nurturing child care. Babysitters are responsible for the lives of the children they are watching. It is vitally important that all babysitters know how to keep children safe and how to respond if a child chokes! 

This program is designed for youth ages 11-14. You can register below or call 405-533-3333 for more information. There are limited spots available so sign up today!

You only need to "Register" once to receive your discounts. After that, each time you wish to sign up for activities, events or camps, simply click the "Sign-in" button to obtain your members only discount.

When you get to the sign up page, this online system uses "Registrant" as the identifier for the Children attending the event. Please enter your child's name here. Enter your information under "Parent".

Fall 2019 Session 1

Oklahoma ENERGY!

Date: Tuesdays 9/17/19-10/22/19 (6 weeks)

Time: 1:30pm-3:00pm

Cost: $50 (plus tax) per scientist

Ages: 6-8 years old

 

Oklahoma ENERGY will engage young scientists in hands on exploration of fossil fuels and how they are used in our daily lives. Children will learn the difference between potential and kinetic energy. We will dig deep to find out about the formation and properties of oil. We will explore the porosity of rocks and even discover how to identify rocks using sound waves! Engineering skills will be developed as we work together in teams to build a derrick. Museum School science classes will also include time to play and explore the museum!
